For participants

Joining a clinical trial, explained properly.

No jargon, no pressure. Here’s exactly what happens when you apply for a study through Sana One — and what your rights are at every step.

The process

From application to first visit

1

Apply online

Answer a short questionnaire about your health and the study you’re interested in. A few minutes, no commitment.

2

Phone pre-screen

A Sana One triage specialist calls to confirm the key eligibility criteria, explain the study in plain language, and answer anything you want to know.

3

Referral to the clinic

If you’re a potential match and you’re happy to proceed, we securely pass your details to the clinical site, who book your screening visit.

4

Screening & consent

At the clinic, the study team reviews your health in detail and walks you through the full written study information. You only consent once every question is answered.

Why people take part

What’s in it for you

People join clinical trials for different reasons. Whatever yours is, you’re in qualified hands from start to finish.

  • Access to new investigational treatments before they’re widely available
  • Close monitoring and care from experienced clinical teams
  • Compensation for your time and travel on most studies
  • Contributing to research that helps people with the same condition
  • All study-related costs covered — participation is free

Safety first

Your rights, in writing

Clinical research in Australia and New Zealand is tightly regulated. These protections apply to every study we recruit for — no exceptions.

  • Ethics approval before recruitment
Every study is reviewed and approved by a Human Research Ethics Committee before we list it.
  • Informed consent, always
You receive full written study information — purpose, procedures, risks, benefits — before you agree to anything.
  • Withdraw anytime
You can leave a study at any point, for any reason, without affecting your normal medical care.
  • Qualified clinical oversight
Doctors and research nurses supervise every study procedure.
  • Privacy by consent
Your details are only shared with a clinical site once you say yes, and handled under the Australian Privacy Principles and NZ Privacy Act.
